5 Items You Should Pay The Maximum For

There is one key component you should consider whenever you make a purchase. And that is…

Is this item worth far more than what I paid for it. And will this item more than pay for itself over time.”

So many people go all out on televisions or fancy cars. But these items are worth less and less with every passing day.

It’s important that you spend as much of your money as you can on assets. In other words, items that are going to put money in your pocket or help you save money down the road.

To get you started, I’ve listed seven things that I consider to be very smart purchase. By all means, there are not just seven. These were just seven that I could think of off the top of my head. The important thing is for you to get a feel for what makes a wise purchase and what isn’t. Ask yourself…

Is this item something that is going to be extremely valuable to me? If not, then I shouldn’t buy it.

Have a look at these seven items and start today making purchases that will benefit you for a lifetime…

1. A Large Book Collection

This is by far the wisest purchase you can make in my opinion. I could go on for days why you should build up your own library of great books.

When you purchase a book, don’t ask how much it is going to cost you. Ask how much it is going to cost you if you don’t buy it. If a $20 book helps you make $1,000, it’s worth the investment isn’t it?

Don’t worry about the cost of a book on tax deductions. Don’t worry about the cost of a book on investing. These books will help you make thousands if not millions of dollars in your lifetime.

Purchase as many books as you can and don’t feel bad about it. The best money spent is money invested in yourself.

2. A Comfortable Bed

People are blown away by the costs of some beds these days. For example, some Tempur-Pedic beds can cost you two, three, or even four thousands dollars!

Why on Earth would you spend that much on a bed?

Well, I’ll tell you why. Because you are going to spend 1/3 of your life on it! A quality bed is one of the best investments you can make. Especially when it comes to something such as a Tempur-Pedic bed.

Those beds will last a lifetime. So you basically have two choices. Buy two, three, or four really crummy beds over the course of your lifetime. Or, buy one incredible bed that will last you a lifetime. The choice is entirely yours.

3. A Comfortable Pillow

A pillow is along the same lines as a nice bed. 1/3 of your head and neck’s lifetime will be on it. So spending $100-$200 on a pillow that you are completely in love with makes total sense in my opinion.

Think about all of those days that you woke up with a sore neck. Think about the time when you sat around and did nothing all day because your sore neck was giving you an excruciating headache.

If a pillow saves you just one day from having to call in sick or not do anything, the added cost would pay for itself!

4. A Nice Toothbrush

Everyone thought I was crazy when I spent over $100 on a toothbrush! Considering that most people probably don’t spend that much on toothbrushes in an entire lifetime.

Well, I can honestly say that I haven’t regretted my decision. I guess one area where technology has really excelled at is in the toothbrush business!

I truly believe that if everyone could brush their teeth one time with a Sonicare or an Oral B toothbrush, everyone would own one. Every day, you get the feeling that you just walked out of the dentist’s office for a cleaning.

And here’s where the added costs make sense…

Dentist visits can get quite costly. I’m sure you already know that. Well, what if your toothbrush helped prevent just one cavity? Not only would the dental costs be worth it, but the pain and suffering prevented would be worth ten or twenty times more than the cost of the toothbrush!

5. Your Education

I know I briefly touched on this when I said buy as many books as you can. But also pay the maximum for your education.

If your stuck at a dead end job and always dreamed of becoming a doctor, then find a way to become a doctor! Save up as much as you can. Take out some loans if you have to. The point is, your education is priceless. Nobody can ever take it away from you.

By having a “never stop learning” attitude, you won’t believe how much you can do in a year, in five years. And you won’t believe how far your education will take you.

If you have a dream occupation, find out how you can start making it happen today. Right now!

You’ll be glad you did.
