6 Quotes That Will Help Change Your Life

Here you will find what I consider the six of the greatest quotes of all time. Any one of them has the potential to change your life if you let it give you the power to do so.

Read each quote. Read my brief explanation. And then think for a moment how you can apply the meaning behind it in your life. Let it motivate you to change. Change that is for the better and will bring positive results in your life…

Give and you shall receive.”

- The Bible

The day you realize the truth behind this quote is the day that your life turns around.

Whatever it is that you want to receive in this world, you first have to give. If you want a paycheck, you first have to give your services. Sure, you can forcefully take it, but that is going to catch up with you in the long run.

So, what exactly is it that you want to receive? Perhaps you would you like to have a million dollars? If so, don’t think about trying to make a million dollars. Instead, think of a way you can give a million dollars worth of value. Create a product or service that helps people solve their problems. If you give first, the receiving part will come shortly afterwards.

By giving, you often get equal or more value in return. With this website, I spend all of my time giving away information to help people improve their lives. By doing so, I’ve received much more than I could ever have imagined. An email from someone telling me I have helped them change their life is worth far more than whatever I have had to give to create the site.

The power of giving works in all areas of your life…

  • Do you want to be treated with respect? Give respect to everyone around you.
  • Do you want people to like you? Start liking other people and show them you care.
  • Do you want the world to be a better place? Start giving your time and energy to help make the world a better place.

Now, are there going to be times when you give and don’t immediately receive? Of course! But somehow, someway, and from somebody you are going to receive as much as what you gave.

The power of giving isn’t often immediate gratification. Which is probably why so many people don’t do it. But it pays off in the long run. Just try it!

Work harder on yourself than you do on your job.”

- Jim Rohn

As Jim Rohn says, if you work hard on your job you can make a living. But, if you work hard on yourself, you can make a fortune!

Now, what does all of that mean? Basically, it means working hard on your personal development. Spend more time and energy learning new things instead of whatever you do at your current job.

You can work hard at your job for years and years and have very little to show for it. But, if you are constantly working hard at improving yourself and learning new things, the sky is the limit for you! There are no boundaries to what you can do and what you can accomplish if you work hard on improving yourself.

Start today by working on your personal development. Read this site, pick up some of the books I recommend, or better yet…

Pick up a book or audiobook by Jim Rohn! The man’s philosophy on life will sure get your mind thinking! He is and will always be my favorite motivational speaker. His words are very easy to follow and understand. You are in for a real treat if you have never listened to him before. That’s all I have to say!

Whatever you decide to do, start working on yourself and eliminate your bad habits and start adding good ones. It will pay off.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

- The Bible

It really doesn’t get much better than this as far as becoming a good person. This is sort of a sub-category of “give and you shall receive” in my opinion.

By treating people the way you want to be treated, your whole world will slowly start to unfold in a way that you never thought possible. If you stop saying negative things about other people, slowly, people will stop saying negative things about you. If you start treating people kindly, slowly they will start treating you kindly.

If everyone followed this one simple rule, the world would be a perfect place. Unfortunately, it’s never going to happen like that. But that doesn’t mean you can’t get started doing it anyways.

By thinking about how you would like to be treated, you can understand how to properly treat somebody else. Most of this stuff is common sense, we just sometimes forget. Especially when our emotions are high and our tempers are up.

Never forget to treat all people in the best possible way that you can. You have a much better chance of getting the same in return.

What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”

- Napoleon Hill

It’s true. Absolutely anything you put your mind to can be accomplished if you just believe it.

Some people believed that humans could fly in airplanes, a person could walk on the moon, and so many other unbelievable ideas. Nobody believed that it could be done except the people trying to do it. And the biggest reason why they did eventually do it was because they believed it could be done.

Whatever you want in life is possible if you just set your mind to it.

Want to be a millionaire? You could do it! Millions of people in the world have over a million dollars, so why can’t you?

If you haven’t yet, I highly recommend you pick up a copy of Napoleon Hill’s most well-known book Think And Grow Rich. If you want to think the way that millionaire’s think, this book is for you!

The biggest mistake people make in life is NOT making a living doing what they most enjoy.”

- Malcolm S. Forbes

It’s really sad how many people float through life because they never took the time to figure out what it was they really wanted to do.

People postpone figuring out what kind of job they want to have until one day, the job chooses them. Whether this is from fear or laziness I do not know! Take Malcolm’s advice to heart. Find out what is your perfect scenario. What would you do? When would you do it? You might not have your perfect career today, tomorrow, or even five years from now. The key is to constantly strive and progress towards getting that perfect career.

Get a job today that will help give you the skills and experience that you need for your dream job of tomorrow. Then get whatever education you need to have in the meantime.

Don’t be like so many people who believe that you are supposed to hate your job. You don’t! You can love your job and love what you are doing. Thousands and millions of people love going to work every day around the world!

Search the Internet and the Occupation Outlook Handbook until you find a career that excites you! Your life will be so much more fulfilling with a career that you love.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did.”

- Mark Twain

It’s true. I always say, “you only live life once.”

Since all of us are working with a limited amount of time, we might as well go all out while we can! We might as well do as much as we possible can today and stop postponing things until tomorrow. Let’s not wait for the “right time” because…

What if the “right time” never comes?

I don’t know about you, but from my experience there is hardly ever the perfect time to do anything. There’s always something that seems to get in our way.

Whatever it is you have always wanted to do, why not start today? Have you thought about going back to school? Apply today! Or, at least set up a plan that will allow you to be able to.

Have you always wanted to go to Hawaii? Start today by saving a few dollars for a vacation there. Even if you saved just one dollar a day, you will have the trip paid for eventually.

Always wanted to start your own business? Perhaps an online business? Go to Sitesell.com and try their 30-day trial. Read the Action Guide. It gives you a step-by-step plan to building a website that will earn income for you year after year!

Start taking massive action on all of the things you have been hoping to do “someday.” There is no better time than today, right now even, to start making your dreams a reality. As Mark Twain said, don’t have regrets twenty years from now with all of the things you didn’t do.

Be the type of person that looks back on their life and says, “I sure did it all!”
