A Man's Trouble Finding A Job
What advice do you have about finding a job?
Job searching is certainly tough business. It can be very stressful and frustrating. Especially if it has been months of searching with no success.
The key thing to understand is that finding a job is a numbers game. The more calls you make, asking for an interview, the better your chances of getting a face-to-face interview.
The more interviews you get, the better the chance that someone is going to hire you.
The biggest problem that people make is that they sit around online and send out their resume to everyone and everywhere they can possible think of. The reality is that doing this will get you very little face-to-face interviews.
Your time online would be of better use if you found companies that you would like to work for and get their telephone number. Ask for the manager in the department that you would like to work for.
Then state who you are and how you think you would help their company. Ask if you can sit down for a face to face interview.
If they say no, learn to not let this get you too down. With job searching, you are going to be said no to a lot. You need to just accept it, and then start searching for the next number you can call.
If you do this enough times, and you get enough interviews, eventually someone is going to hire you.
Once again, it's all a big numbers game. Good luck!
