How To Set Goals That Will Change Your Life

I understand why you might think goal setting is completely overrated. After all, writing down what you want on a piece of paper does absolutely nothing right?

Well, believe it or not, experts believe that by having your goals written down, it makes them 1000% more likely to come true. Now, I realize this number could very well be a little far-fetched. But here's an explanation as to why it may be true...

Let's say you have a goal to become a millionaire. This seems to be a very popular goal these days. After all, who wouldn't want to have a million dollars in the bank? So you write down the goal, "I become a millionaire on [insert date five years from now]." This is your ultimate goal.

Every night before you go to bed you read your goal. That way you can dream about it all night long. And every morning you read it again. That way, you can spend all day working on finding ways to make it come true.

Surprisingly enough, you find yourself coming up with more and more ways to make your millionaire goal a reality. Everything seems to gravitate towards you. And every day you inch closer and closer to becoming a millionaire.

This is a completely different scenario from just occasionally reminding yourself that you want to become a millionaire.

When you don't have your millionaire goal written down, you may have weeks or even months that go by where you completely forget about how much you greatly desire to become a millionaire. You spend a lot less time thinking about it. And you spend even less time thinking of ways that you can make it a reality.

Are you starting to notice the difference between the two?

Writing down goals may seem very simple. And it may seem a little childlike. But it has an incredible impact on whether or not you achieve great things in your life. If you haven't yet, I strongly encourage you to create your own definite chief aim. This is your ultimate goal and this article shows you how to get the most out of it.
